It’s no accident that students and faculty are denied defensive tools. Dead bodies are much more valuable for politicians to profit from

Arguing with a guy right now who is saying that.

Literally because an unarmed civilian once stopped a spree shooter, and a spree shooter once shot and killed an armed civilian trying to stop them, obviously armed civilians are completely useless.  Nevermind that the shooters had already killed two cops and was one of the relatively rare dual shooter scenarios.  Never mind that it was probably him that caused them to hole up long enough for the cops to get them cornered, at which point they suicided.

Have any additional details come out? I'd like to find out if the gun(s) was/were obtained legally, and whether the University of North Carolina is a gun-free zone (either by state law or by university decree).

[Edit to add] I found that it is a gun-free zone, by state law.
