Fake news has even taken over the Weather Channel. Video of one of their field correspondents bravely facing the awesome force of the hurricane -- while two dudes in shorts stroll casually through the shot in the background.

Props to the cameraman cameraperson for holding the camera so steady in that horrific wind.
Additonal color and flavor regarding "Yellow Journalism":
Yellow journalism and the yellow press are American terms for journalism and associated newspapers that present little or no legitimate well-researched news while instead using eye-catching headlines for increased sales.[1] Techniques may include exaggerations of news events, scandal-mongering, or sensationalism. By extension, the term yellow journalism is used today as a pejorative to decry any journalism that treats news in an unprofessional or unethical fashion.[2]

They've been hyping up Florence for weeks. I thought the local weather reporters were going to just start crying when they realized it wasn't going to do more than sprinkle on us. I'm not surprised they're trying to work with what little they got. If they don't then they'll have to admit that it wasn't the storm they thought it would be.
