SAFR is holding board elections and those who want to run had to send a notice saying they intend to run. This is the best one I got:

Quote
Please include my name on the list of those running for a spot in the March 25th election for the BoD of SAFR.

I like guns and if elected, I vow to work for the advancement of MI gun rights and promise not to shoot up a post office or public place, unless invaded by terrorists, the U.N. or space aliens, and then I shall only target them.

Sincerely

Awesome.  Someone should use this in their local TV campaign ad.

That's pretty much been my policy all along, I just never wrote it down!

Barbara, you are just having way too much fun. Making the rest of us look like slackers. Tone it down a lttle, OK? Or invite the rest of us to join in. Cheesy

Just a guess, but perhaps board of directors, for the Shooters' Alliance for Firearm Rights.

Me, I'm one of 'em independents.   Course, I do go looking for an Alliance friendly bar come U day, looking for a quiet drink.    Wink

Ya always got to watch electable platforms like that.  I was asked to run for president of a chapter of my professional society just to "be another name on the ballot".  My platform was a sarcastic dig at the current president-to plan and promulgate meetings far enough in advance for people to be able to actually attend.

Darn it if I wasn't elected in a landslide!!!!
