This just seems to be about the most tone-deaf article possible, given the dramatic amount of non-combatant casualties caused by drone strikes.

Open another tab and goto Settings.  Turn off Javascript.  Now refresh the paywall screen.  Or just disable javascript for www.nytimes.com (I did that, and then enabled it just for their Wordle page)
