Guy broke into the wrong house. He lived about a mile away.
You know, I don't think people realize just how much area is encompassed in a circle of a mile's radius. 3.14 square miles = 2k acres, you could stuff 2k homes in there pretty easily.
He broke into a back door. One of the residents fired a warning shot at him, but he kept on coming. 3 of the residents were armed and at least 2 of them opened fire on the intruder. He died in their kitchen.
He kept coming into gunfire, while unarmed? That, to me, indicates that he wasn't just looking to steal. Hell, it might indicate that he was mentally ill.
However, disregarding the warning shot and continuing means that he is still a threat to the occupants, and indicates a high probability that he thinks he can face a firearm. I have no objections to shooting him - it's a good shoot as far as I'm concerned(and the local police think so as well).
I feel sad for the family of the home - would you want to keep living there?
