I used the term mitzvah to describe a good deed that someone had committed. I'm not Jewish, but I've been pro-Israel since I was about 12.

I'm not, but based on THR I'd say quite a few.

I have to say the topic title caught my eye...I opened it expecting to see a news report of the beginnings of a pogrom in one country or another, or perhaps a historic parallel between registration ("Check in") and persecution.

   Sorry, but when I started seeing ham and cheese on bagels at restaurants, I knew they had passed out of our realm and into Americana.

Raised in a spilt Baptist/Jewish Family...not practicing myself, but REALLY confused about how I am going to raise my children..
