This is the sort of thing I expect to see in a Myst game or some such. I now have a new goal to build one of these.

A plan is just a list of things that doesn't happen.
Is defenestration possible through the overton window?

The world needs more functional art.

The gears on the back of that reminded me of the Nova episode on the Antikythera mechanism. In the video, a retired engineer tries to make a hand-made replica of the mechanism, and it shows him cutting out the fairly precise brass gears by hand using a chisel and a file.

^^^ That was a cool episode of Nova.  I was fascinated by the 3D imaging they did that allowed them to more accurately recreate a simulation of how the mechanism was put together.

Superhero dining table.  Something Charles Xavier would have in his mansion, transforms when round table discussion with more than 5 X-men is necessary.

That's way cool.

I'm imagining how many sets of stitches kids would get from wanting to see the table transform from up close...

That table with the giant glass Peep on it would be just the thing to round out the dining room.

Can I get a somewhat stronger girl in a short skirt to open/close the table?  The one in the video looked as if she was straining a bit.

stay safe.
If cowardly and dishonorable men sometimes shoot unarmed men with army pistols or guns, the evil must be prevented by the penitentiary and gallows, and not by a general deprivation of a constitutional privilege.

Hey you kids!! Get off my lawn!!!

They keep making this eternal vigilance thing harder and harder.  Protecting the 2nd amendment is like playing PACMAN - there's no pause button so you can go to the bathroom.

Ha ha. Was there a table in that video? I've watched it three times.
Seriously though - that is a very cool table.

They are an amazing expression of the joiner's art but they cost tens of thousands of dollars.  I'd rather by guns.  If you do manage to build one, be sure to put photos and videos here.
