They're way, way off. Unless every single one of those occupations attracts an inordinately high number of the ~1% (or fewer) of the population that will marry someone of the same sex, they can't be right about any of those.

Male CEOs are most likely to marry female elementary- and middle-school teachers or male CEOs.

Interesting how they kept phrasing that.

These things A) don't work and B) wouldn't work for me anyway because while I "retired" a Sr Programmer/Analyst, I started life as a mechanic, USN Diesel Engineman, ASE Master Mechanic before I was too stove up to do it anymore then went to college and became a computer geek. There is still a lot of oil in my blood, red on my neck and blue in my collar.

I don't think any of that matters. From what I can tell of the survey without knowing the design parameters, is that it's basically just saying people are likely to marry other people they come in contact with during the work week, whether in their fields or in fields that interact with their fields. So they meet people at locations where they spend the greatest amount of time when out of the house.
