Wow.

  • Doesn't buy into "man made climate change"
  • Rejects same-sex marriage
  • Wants to abolish the internal revenue service
  • Believes the 2nd Amendment guarantees everyone a right to guns
  • Doesn't believe in a Constitutional divide between church and state
  • Favors the death penalty
  • Rejects immigration reform [Note: i.e. amnesty]
  • Wants to repeal Obamacare
  • Originalist view of the Constitution

My problem with Cruz is that I agree with him almost 100 percent on all of the above points ... but I just can't force myself to either like him or trust him or believe him.

Of the remaining R candidates who has the best chance of ending or at the very least bringing us to the beginning of the end of the Progressive Era?

As strongly libertarian as I am I am far less concerned with the so-con or conservative side of the ledger than I am with the left side.

The Left has been far more damaging to society by orders of magnitude than the Right could ever dream of being. They have to go. And I think Cruz is the one to do it.

Trump has no fixed ideology, Carson is so meh I can't remember anything, other than the pyramids were for storing grain thing, he has ever said, Rubio is a tool of Big Sugar with copy-paste principles, and Kaisch has no chance of winning.

You may not trust Cruz overall but one thing you can trust is that he despises progressives and will seek to wound them and deny them power and influence at every turn.

For me that is good enough even though there are many things he has said that I roll my eyes at. And a few things that pegged my rage meter.

So Cruz it is for me. And if he turns out to be a super-*expletive deleted*che than we haven't really lost anything as the other Rs would have been no better.

Cruz has tried to do some subtle signalling that he's "Against gay marriage, but that he also believes in the constitutional limits of the office of POTUS. (wink-wink, nudge-nudge)" which actually makes me like him more.

But it blew up spectacularly. More for the Gay man hosting the event than it did for Cruz.

Cruz is as trustworthy as most running for POTUS.

Folk like Reich bagging on him makes me like Cruz a bit more, though.

The "conservative" side of my family doesn't like Cruz.

Initially it was "he is too right wing".

Now it is "I don't trust him".

That my friends is the power of the MSM.

Having said that, my two main beefs with him are that one, he is a US Senator; and two is that his wife is basically one of the Goldman Sachs banksters.
