Whatever Joss Whedon was worth, just dropped by at least half. And there is a growing call to remove him as director of Batgirl.
Since he full-on *expletive deleted*tard after Trumps' election, watching Hollyweird eat one of it's own is going to be glorious.

You will forgive me if I don't take the feminist ex-wifes word as holy writ.
With Whedon's decent into crazy this might be a "pray for a meteor" situation.

Reading the comments made my head hurt.
I really don't need to know these things about artists. I just want to enjoy a good story. Can we just eliminate the whole "about the author" section in books, stop paying attention to the people in Hollywood except when they are actually being in the movie or tv show and be done with it?
Because that would be so much better... *sigh*

Don't know what the real story will end up being, but assuming he's 100% guilty, he'll just get the Bill Clinton treatment from the femlibs since he's on the "correct" political side.
Femlibs: "You are disgusting Joss Whedon!"
JW: "Trump is a nazi!! Impeach him!"
Femlibs: "We love you Joss Whedon!"

He said he admired and respected females, he didn’t lust after them.

So a rich and influential Hollywood type used his notoriety to bed women...
She married him in 1995, after he'd found fame through Firefly and Buffy...
She was a wanna be Hollywood type...
I'm sure it was just for his personality...

While I'm not shocked that someone would pretend to be a feminist in order to provide cover for unethical or predatory sexual behavior, I'd be leery of believing either side during a divorce. In this case, I'm quite certain she's furious she's going to be traded in for a younger, more attractive Hollywood hanger on, shopping for a book deal or just wants to lash out. Or any/all of the above.

Neither Buffy or Firefly had been made yet when they married.

That's what I get for trusting Internet info.

The Buffy movie was 92. TV show started in 97.

I like that she was so disappointed by Hollywood going a different direction with the Buffy idea. I mean, you bring them a script for a high school girl that hunts vampires - what a pure, high-concept idea. They wouldn't dare mess with that, right?
