A pro-Second Amendment rally was held at the Kentucky state capitol on January 31:

Apparently they were allowed inside the capitol while armed:

... which sent the usual suspects headed for the fainting sofas:

To be honest, I was a bit surprised to see the participants strolling around inside the building with their firearms. Also, I still believe that all the camo gear and balaclavas are not good optics for the movement. But since everyone behaved responsibly, no harm no foul, I guess?

I don't think the dress-up stuff is a good idea, either. But as long as people are going to do it, the Right should flog the fact that all those scary gun people got together and no one got a scratch.

I also believe the battle rattle optics are not good, but agree that we should make lemonade out of lemons, and press the fact that all was peaceful.

Dontcha just love it when the Woke propundiate about how bad the peaceful people of privilege are who walk around with guns, that if they were black, or brown or red or gay or trans, they would be gunned down right away by the police. [barf]

I guess the State offices couldn't backtrack on their own laws.
=D
Connected: I was amused at how Colorado's Dept of Motor Vehicles squirgled around the facts that:
1. Constitutionally, Colorado is an open carry State excpt for certain Home Rule cities.
2. Colorado has a statewide concealed, permitted, carry law.
So on their entry door they put up a sign, see attached. I guess it would satisfy the hand-wringers.
Actually, I thought it was pretty clever to do it that way, and I, for one, ain't going to make an issue over it. I'm happy cause I can carry in there, and I guess it keeps the antis from clutching their pearls and making their mascara run. Poor things. Tsk-tsk, there, there, can I offer you a hot beverage?

grampster: "propundiate?"
(Propounded + bloviate?)
Almost as good as "squirgled."
(Squirmed + wiggled.)

How many people were actually there? Those photos only show about 10 people.
Also, that one rifle in the middle (closer to the camera) sort of looks like a Robinson Armament XCR, but there are probably other rifles with a similar profile.

I hope the fall out is less than it was when we had the neckbeards posturing with their guns in the gallery of the WA State Chambers. We can no longer open carry our guns into the gallery. :( The rest of the Capitol building is OK though.

What a silly sign. They didn't even draw the line through the gun OR the knife!
(Yeah, I get it -- that was the point.)

"Not permitted" means a permit is not required? ???
-
Yeah, but like I said, I think it was a pretty clever way of keeping the antis from weeping and wailing and making matters worse.
Which is what I hope we do... keep from making matters worse.
I'm glad someone remembered that knives are arms too.
