FUNNY!

I had dinner with Mtnbkr and his family last night, and during dinner we were looking at the REI catalog that he got and I saw the ad for the stove in there.

I thought that I should post in this thread to let you know REI has it on sale, and then totally forgot.

Glad to see that you found it.

Nice. It'll be a good stove for you. Good price, too.

Hint: If you want a lower flame for simmering, don't pump it as much.

I scored a nearly NIB Coleman lantern for a couple bucks at my community's yard sale a few years ago.  It was one of the old green ones that only burned white gas. Since I already had a new "dual fuel" model, I gave that one to some folks I hunt with since they were always at camp when I would need to use the lantern.  I figured they always provided so much of the gear we all used, this was a cheap way to repay them.

Went to light my suitcase stove and all I could get was a 2' yellow fireball. Must have a spider in the manifold. I'm going to save that for the weekend.
