Arby's Food
« on: January 20, 2016, 10:57:36 AM »
Went to Arby's last night and just had to have a new dish they are promoting, curly fries with bacon, cheese, and ranch dressing.

It is one that will go into must have again file.  They, at least the store I went to, didn't scrimp on the bacon.

I know lots of people are down on Arby's, but I've never had a bad experience with their food or service.

I enjoy their synthetic meat sandwiches! (that's tongue-in-cheek)

Also, I particularly like their chicken, bacon, and swiss.

Beef and Cheddar and then Three Cheese Angus are my gotos when eating there.

Never cared much for Arby's food in general.

Heard today on the news that McDonald's is rolling out a new french fry dish in Japan...

Fries covered with dark chocolate with sprinkles of white chocolate on top.

I have been known to use mayo on my fries as opposed to ketchup.

WTF Japan.

Was that a question or a question and the answer?

Because the answer to your question is "It's Japan".

I LOVE McDonald's fries dipped in their spicy mustard sauce, which is intended for the nuggets.

Also very good with the sweet and sour sauce and even the BBQ sauce.

The absolute BEST, however, were Roy Rogers fries dipped in their horseradish sauce.

Roy's BBQ sauce was also spectacularly good.

I know lots of people are down on Arby's, but I've never had a bad experience with their food or service.

Try the one in Weatherford TX, then.  Pay particular attention to all the black, grimy things that it's near impossible to avoid touching, like door handles, trash can doors, etc.

Three strands of sauerkraut on the "Reuben" seems to be their new standard, up from one before I complained to corporate.  Maybe with a few dozen more complaints, they'll have to use some effective degreaser on the filth.

Because the answer to your question is "It's Japan".

At this point, "WTF Japan" is ALWAYS the answer.

I also like curly fries dipped in BBQ sauce.

Also fries with fry sauce.

Arby's fries are too greasy for me.  They sit in my gullet like a rock.  Until they transform into a rocket a short time later.

Fries dipped in a chocolate shake or malt.

Why would putting chocolate sauce over them be much different?

Actually, the fry sauce popular in Idaho, Utah, etc. One part ketchup, two parts mayo, sometimes some extra spices thrown in.

Yep, dipping your fries in Mayo gets one lots of WTF? looks.  But it is B) above.

I had a really good sandwich at Arby's some months ago, but I don't remember what it was called. Surprisingly spicy for fast food. Chicken, maybe?

Also, 3-pepper sauce.

I love mayo with my fries.  Don't particularly care about the looks from other people.

They were building/remodeling an existing building to be an Arby's right near my house.

They got as far as finishing the remodel and putting a sign up; then took it down and the building is for sale again  :(

Was looking forward to a cheat day there once or twice a month.

I haven't dipped fries in a chocolate malt since I was a kid, but now that I think about it, it was pretty good.
