TS Edouard Inbound
« on: August 04, 2008, 04:56:07 AM »
The generators are gassed up, non-perishable food and batteries bought, gas cans full, vehicle tanks full.

In-laws on the way over. They live in trailers. I am not knocking trailers as I once could only afford a trailer. Thanks Jimmie Carter. Speaking of democrats all the in-laws are democrats. Great. The wife's sisters and the nieces and nephews are great but their men folk are annoying.

The storm track is projected right over the homestead.

I must remember to bring in another black rifle and shotgun. More ammo too. Duct tape.

Jack Daniels.

Thats alot of prep for a TS.  When I lived in North Carolina, we'd go surfing whenever a TS or Cat I came in.

I'm guessing the extra prep is for Tropical Storm Democrat in-laws. The duct tape should come in especially handy....  laugh

I like to be prepared. You just never know what will happen.

I did pick up a few rolls of duct tape. Thanks for the suggestion for using the duct tape on the democrats.

I wonder what the chances are for looters....

Doesn't cound like their chances are very good.  grin

A few years back we had either a smal tornado or "micro-burst" on the north side of town.  No real major damage other then some missing shingles, broken windows, downed trees and branches, and some flooding.  Some of our former neighbors had moved there, so after the storm we went to bring them food and help.

In the course of helping with the clean-up I managed to "loot" a couple loads of freshly felled firewood.   angel
Some days even my lucky rocketship underpants won't help.

Bring me my Broadsword and a clear understanding.
Get up to the roundhouse on the cliff-top standing.
Take women and children and bed them down.
Bless with a hard heart those that stand with me.
Bless the women and children who firm our hands.
Put our backs to the north wind.
Hold fast by the river.
Sweet memories to drive us on,
for the motherland.
