A question about Zombies.....
« on: July 29, 2007, 05:41:34 PM »
O.K. this one has been bugging me since I started to read about zombies.
After the Great Uprising(TM),wouldn't the zombies rot and fall apart after mmmm, about a week?I mean the joints and stuff are held together with tendons and all that other stuff.Wouldn't it just all fall apart like that pork roast on another thread? laugh

Not necessarily.  Depends on a number of factors:

1. How well the corpse was preserved prior to burial

2. Physical health and/or age of corpse before death

3. Reactions of bacteria to a re-animated corpse carrying the Solanum virus

4.

Do you plan on cooking every zombieafflicted individual? Waitaminute... nevermind...

5. Was the zombie afflicted individual dead prior to re-animation, or were they alive and later contaminated by another zombieafflicted individual?

6. Environment in which re-animation takes place.  For instance, colder weather extends the useful life of a zombiean afflicted individual, and warmth might speed decomposition.

7. Depending on the generation of Solanum virus, the rate of nutrient absorption and redistribution within the host by the parasitic organism

8. Physical activity of corpse after re-animation, often directly related to surrounding population density

9. Combat wear

10. Generation of Solanum virus, in relation to rate of decay

So, it's possible, but not expected.  Outbreaks can tend to vary.

Guys, guys...

Come on.

Calling them zombies is very very hurtful to them.

They prefer to be called Democrat-Americans.

I thought it was neo-con.

If there is enough global warming, the zombies would cook all on their own.

I think in 2 or 3 of the more recent movies, the zombies were not really dead, just screwed up in the brain.  Some were reanimated I guess.
