Molon Labe hat(s)
« on: April 08, 2023, 01:07:14 PM »
I picked up a couple many years ago from someone selling them on THR. Does anyone recall who that was? For the life of me I don't recall.
For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting power and divinity, that they may be without excuse. Because knowing God, they didn’t glorify him as God, and didn’t give thanks, but became vain in their reasoning, and their senseless heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.

I think it was Larry Corriea or else that other guy he hung out with. I got a couple of them myself that I still wear on occasion.

I got a couple from Larry Correia back around 2002ish. After one got damaged I contacted him in 2012 and he said he wasn’t selling them anymore.

Yep, Larry. I got a couple of t shirts and sweat shirts from him when he would do the group sales on TFL.

I gotta say, those were good hats. Some ball caps just sit on my head wrong - especially the trucker ones with the mesh back. These cloth ones are cut just right for my head.

Oh yeah, I now remember I got a couple of shirts too. Those are long gone.

I was tempted to get a red MAGA hat but never got around to it.  I do have two red FLOOR WARDEN hats I've had since I retired, just miscellany when I packed up my office.

Help, help, stop me before I put on one of my not-politically-obtained-actually-bought-in-Hawaii Hawaiian shirts plus my red hat and go erranding....

I know I'd best leave my carry piece in the car, 'cause Colorado is now Commierado and I'm sure to be confronted.  And we now have a female Democratic Sheriff.  No offense to females or Sheriffs.

Stop me before I do it!  Help!

it seems like it was a lifetime ago I looked at or thought about THR .

I haven't even thought of THR in years. I do have a couple of unworn hats though I believe, I just don't care for ball caps, give me a nice hat with a brim any day.

Great quality hats for sure. While not on regular rotation my tan one is still in great shape. I rarely ever wore the black one and it is of course is like new sitting in the closet.

Thanks guys!

THR had a "legal" forum that could have been so much better, except one of the moderators was basically the south end of a northbound horse. For example, if he engaged in a debate and started to lose, rather than admit it he just deleted the whole thread. He wasn't above name calling, either . . .

I've not been to THR in literally years.

I'll be damned. I still remember my password.

I liked THR until the surrender monkeys started wanting to sign away my rights in appeasement every time there was a mass shooting

Anyone know what ever happened to P95 Carry?

He was a mod at THR and, for a time, here as well.

His name was Chris, and he lived in Central Pennsylvania. Mtnbkr and I went up to his place shooting once years ago.

Really nice guy -- British, IIRC, but moved here to marry his wife. He sort of dropped off the face of the earth about 10 years ago. I hope he hasn't passed.

I've wondered about Chris too.  We used to chat a bit by PM, but that was  years ago.

I still have my hat I got from Correia many years ago.  I still wear it fairly often.  Swmbo and I met a couple of ladies in KW about 15 years ago and I had my Molon Labe cap with me.  One of the ladies is Greek and she commented on my cap.  That started a friendship and over the years both became interested in firearms resulting in both of them obtaining concealed carry permits in their home state of Ohio.

Ohio went Constitutional Carry anyway last year.  Thanks for introducing those two ladies to firearms, grampster !  The more the merrier and the closer we get to strict scrutiny of the Second Amendment.

Interesting that one of them was Greek and spotted your hat.
