Up and coming star Chris Stapleton goes political and howitzer's his own foot. Attaches himself to BLM in both spirit and belief, then doubles down by insulting Traditional America.

If FB comments are a guide, he pretty much pissed off his entire fan base.

There must be a lot of people pressuring those singers to publicly support political positions. I would think their agents would tell them to say nothing.

I guess I'd care more if I knew who Chris Stapleton was. ???

He used to be a fairly popular country music singer. Much like the Dixie Chicks used to be a fairly popular country music group.

75% of these celebrities anymore, I don't even know who they are, and that's not any "OK Boomer" stuff. Even if I don't like them, I at least know the names of most regular celebrities a couple generations down from me.
Anymore, it seems the majority of these new ones are people with Youtube channels or that are "instagram influencers". I can't keep track of every Youtube millionaire idiot that eats a tide pod. Pre-Youtube, all these people would have just been Jerry Springer Show guests.

My Dad's a 71-year-old Bluegrass and folk head, and Stapleton is one of his favorites. So Stapleton doesn't seem to be the usual bro country pop star. Or he didn't use to be.

Stapleton is a fantastic singer.

Nope. He's wrong about politics, so we all have to pretend he's a no-talent hack. That's just how these things work. I don't make the rules.
