Well, it's been half a decade since we had one of these threads - what webcomics do you follow?

Daily:
XKCD
Schlock Mercenary
and fairly recently:
Wondermark

Infrequently:
SMBC (Someone will send me a link to one of these now and then)
Dinosaur Comics

And for whatever reason... I can't stand Penny Arcade.  And I think liking Penny Arcade is required for my profession.

I read two dailies from Big Head Press. Escape from Terra, and Quantum Vibe.

Both are pretty much just L Neil Smith space-opera set in a settled solar system, full of Libertarian preachiness.

There's several others, but I won't admit to them. Some decidedly NSFW, and some of you folks think I'm weird and pervy enough as-is.  >:D

My biggest beef with webcomics is finding a good one. Going back through a couple years archives in an afternoon, being invested in the story line, and because it's so painstakingly drawn, and the author/artist needs his day job to make ends meet, updates are insanely infrequent. Once a month or less. You stop clicking the links every day, subscribe to the RSS feeds, but you find yourself checking even that...

The crappily drawn ones, but that have good writing, that the producers are able to update on a regular basis tend to be more satisfying. But you keep on checking the slow ones.  :-X
I promise not to duck.

And if you want the real thing, there's Probabilty Broach, "Roswell, Texas" and Phoebus Krumm at the same site.

Also, XKCD, Day by Day, and Lovecraft is Missing.

Nobody else reads DBD?  http://www.daybydaycartoon.com/

For grins I also read Delta Bravo Sierra http://www.deltabravosierra.us/ .  Used to be daily but ever since Damon got a real job it's about twice a week.

Red Meat http://www.redmeat.com/redmeat/ is not daily, but Bug-eyed Earl and his compatriots are needed to get through the week.

Thee are a few mainstream comics but I'm not going to admit to them by name.

Day by Day and XKCD are the 2 I keep up with and look in on others time to time.
I used to be a big fan of newspaper comic strips, Alley Oop being my favorite but I don't keep up with even Alley Oop any more even though I actually know the current artist doing the strip.

I have a slight webcomics addition.  There are about 50 or so that are in a bookmarks folder that I "open in all tabs" every morning on the laptop before I get out of bed.

Let's see, going from memory (since I don't have a copy handy) the list will be much shorter.  And as mentioned earlier, there are some that very rarely update.  Here are a few of my favorites off the top of my head.  There are plenty more too.

Schlock Mercenary
XKCD
Girl Genius
Questionable Content
Dominic Deegan
Something Positive
The Trenches
Looking For Group
SMBC
Least I Could Do
PVP
Kevin and Kell

Read Quantum Vibe and Escape from Terra, and of course The Probablility Broach, Roswell, Texas, and the others at the BigHeadPress site. (Some of the others were . . . odd. Really odd.)

If I miss them in the paper, I try to catch Dilbert and Mallard Fillmore on line.

(I'm sure there's people at my employer feeding ideas to Scott Adams . . . there's just no way some of his strips would track so well with real life otherwise.)

xkcd and smbc daily/tri-weekly.

I also read QC but am moderately embarrassed about it.

Used to keep up with Looking For Group and Order of the Stick, but not for a long time now. I was happy to see Perry Bible Fellowship has started updating again.

Yeah, although he tok down a bunch of the old strips, looks like he pubbed a book and wanted some exclusively print content.

Quite a few years back when I was a regular on THR (before all the Big Dramatic Kerfuffle took place), I linked the strips involving Fred (Davan's dad) when some moron teenagers broke into his house and he ended up shooting an earlobe off one of them.  Several people told me they went back and started from the beginning, including the moderator who unlinked them because of the NSFW language in the strips.
