I never get rip roarin' loaded.  Just nicely buzzed.  And I don't drive when I'm that way.

One thing is clear in AA literature, AA isn't a temperance movement, so you guys have one for me!

I think MADD could use a tip from AA.

Thank you for the reminder, I'm now in the process of finishing off the half-pint of Maker's Mark I bought (Good stuff, probably not worth paying that much over Seagrams 7 though, IMHO)

Oh, dear, a though provoked...

But for prohibition, Papa Joe Kennedy and his brood might have achieved the obscurity they should have.

Is it terribly inappropriate to reach for the Bushmills Green Label?

(Tallpine, I have it on good authority that Scotch is a whiskey, the people of Scotland are Scots or Scottish.  =D)
Gee, I'd love to see your data!

gunsmith,

The story goes that Winston Churchill, on being told that Lady Astor was a teetotaler but not a prohibitionist, replied :  "Good!  More for us!"

We thank you for your efforts!

Only if you're drinking with Catholics =D

I prefer Powers, Collins, or Jameson myself.

"Scotch" also means someone who is cheap or miserly ;)  It doesn't help a pun if you get all nit-picky about it

As I don't drink, I will celebrate by losing my job, wrecking my car, beating my wife, kicking the dog, and then having a passionate romance with an ugly chick.  :P

I'd hate to see how you celebrate when the gov't repeals the Second Amendment....  ;/

Amen.
