...and nobody heard it, did it make a sound?  Imagine our surprise last evening when we took the dog for a walk and discovered this oak tree completely blocking the driveway



Well, I've been busy this morning



And there's plenty more still on the ground



There's some oak pit BBQ in my future.  I can smell it.  The only decision I have to make is, beef or pork?  Steak or ribs?   OK, how about both?  And I deserve a cold Budweiser for my effort, dontcha think?  Especially before they sell the company to the Yurpeons.

There'd be no point to buying Budweiser as a starting point to brew a GOOD beer.  Easier, cleaner and faster to just bring over a good brewmaster from Germany, Ireland or elsewhere and give him a warehouse full of equipment here in the states.  Can you imagine having to re-tune the Budweiser factory (or factories) to actually output a consistently GOOD beer?  With any kind of standards or objectivity?

The euroweenies just want some of our football fan and high school kegger money.  Be interesting when the football market flips its proverbial middle finger at Bud as a result and you see nothing but Miller and Coors at games.

I'm no botanist, but I think it's closest to Blue Oak.  It's bigger than Scrub Oak, and loses its leaves, so its not Live Oak, which has different bark.

which was found by German Immigrants at the end of the 19th century based on the beer brand Budvar in todays Check Republic.

I wouldn't wash my feet with Budweiser beer, Bud Ice is only half bad but only Austrian beer is the real stuff. Paddy should drink Guinness anyway...

The Pious belongs to SWMBO.  I'd have a dually diesel V10 F550 if she'd let me, but the 4WD Ranger is all I'm allowed. 

And why is everybody dissing Budweiser?  It's a great American company with a popular product.

I'm a big fan of oak trees, I'm actually studying forestry right now so I can get the credentials to work on oak regeneration.
