L. Q. Jones passed away at 94.

The younger crowd probably won't know who he is, but us over-50 folks will instantly recognize him. He was everywhere, movies and TV, in the late 50's through early 80's. Interesting to learn that Fess Parker was his college room mate.

RIP.

I remember that face and the Boy and His Dog.  Been a while since I watched that one.

A Boy and His Dog was an excellent novella by Harlan Ellison, and the movie was pretty faithful to it.  Starring a very young Don Johnson before he became famous in Miami Vice.

I didn't know he directed A Boy and His Dog, but recognized him from probably dozens of episodes of Gunsmoke and other westerns.

RIP Mr. Jones.

I'm a 78-year-old whipper-snapper. I also didn't recognize the name, but I recognized the face immediately. He was one of my favorite character actors.

He was also the crazy "3-Fingered Jack" in the Antonio Banderas "Mask of Zorro" in 1998.

That's what I recognized him from.
