How much longer before Dr. Evil's lair is exposed, and the sharks with frickin' laser beams on their heads start patrolling?

Every time I hear about some organism living in "impossible" conditions, like the critters in Yellowstone's hot caustic yuchy ponds, I think of how it's impossilbe for there not to be life in the rest of the many mansions of the universe.

It amuses me that we keep looking for the Goldilocks planets.  Of course, that's the most likely type of planet from our point of view, but even some of the strange horrible critters on our s-f programs and movies might be possible, too.  Or even like one of my former wives.
