Masked criminals pretending to be ATF agents burst into a home in Houston, TX in a 1:30AM home invasion.

Best Defense?

IMO, live a clean life, and keep an automatic rifle handy and the have will and training to use it forcefully to stop all threats that enter your home.  Then investigate after the fact.  When your door is kicked down at o-dark-thirty, don't give anyone "the benefit of the doubt."   [ar15]

Encourage your local PD and Sheriff to endorse similar talking points, and to abandon no-knocks.

The feds will stop, soon enough, and once the feds stop, the criminals will stop too.

I thought it said they didn't break in, someone opened the door, was shot, then the fakes entered at 1:30 AM.

It says he was shot through the door when he refused to let them in.  Not really sure if he opened it or not.
On two occasions, I have been asked [by members of Parliament], "Pray, Mr. Babbage, if you put into the machine wrong figures, will the right answers come out?" I am not able to rightly apprehend the kind of confusion of ideas that could provoke such a question.

The more stories I read like this....the more motivated I am to get an AR-15 pistol as my bedside gun....

Need something short d/t hallways & corners in my house....if I need something in a full-sized rifle, I'm going for something a lot more powerful....like a .308....

You know, I'm kind of surprised some defense lawyer's association hasn't created a nationwide database of all reported instances of FAKE police invading a residence . . . it seems that such a database, listing many, MANY instances of FAKE cop invasions would be a very useful tool at trial in the event something goes wrong (or right?) when REAL cops stage a no-knock, especially if they hit the wrong place?

It is much more powerful to seek Truth for one's self.  Seeing and hearing that others seem to have found it can be a motivation.  With me, I was drawn because of much error and bad judgment on my part. Confronting one's own errors and bad judgment is a very life altering situation.  Confronting the errors and bad judgment of others is usually hypocrisy.
