The horror, the horror...

Barry to Elisabeth: Your "View" is Dangerous

Posted Sep 17th 2007 1:16PM by TMZ Staff
UPDATE: A source tells TMZ that it's not Barry who's writing this song -- in fact, "View" producers pulled the plug on Manilow's performance when his people demanded that he appear on the show without Elisabeth. Manilow has in fact performed on the show twice before -- both last year -- when Hasselbeck's been co-hosting.

TMZ has learned that legendary singer Barry Manilow has pulled out of his scheduled appearance on "The View" tomorrow -- because he strongly disagrees with host Elisabeth Hasselbeck's conservative view! Paging Rosie O'Donnell!

In the interest of full disclosure, I must admit that as a child, new to the English language, I thought his name was, "Carey Cantaloupe."

Well, a lot of gay folks (and their friends and family) assume that any conservative is also anti-gay. And that loses fiscal conservatives probably a good 5-10% of the vote right there... Add in the folks who assume that conservatives are also racist, and they're about 20% behind at the start.

Liberals love dissent when it's their own.  Anybody else's should be censored. Hypocrites.

So, BM is gay?

I just thought he was not all that masculine and liked plastic surgery.

Go figure.

I question the numbers, but note that Bush and the GOP have not repeat not governed as conservatives for the past 6 years, and that voting for the GOP has gone down roughly in proportion to their diminished conservative governance. IMHO that "20% behind at the start" would be irrelevant if the GOP had stuck to its stated principles.

But they haven't.

And as for Manilow . . . my first thought was the girlyman was afraid of the blond . . . but then I realized that liberals are only for tolerance if they're the ones being tolerated. Otherwise, they're among the most intolerant & bigoted groups of all.
Trump won in 2016. Democrats haven't been so offended since Republicans came along and freed their slaves.

Offenders forced to listen to Barry Manilow
Article from: NEWS.com.au

By staff writers

September 17, 2007 01:51pm

A COLORADO judge has sentenced people busted for noise pollution to one hour of listening to unpopular or unusual music.
Mostly young adult offenders were kept in a room and made to listen to Dolly Parton's I Will Always Love You, Karen Carpenter and Barry Manilow  with the volume up loud, CBS4Denver.com reported.

Most offenders, who were not allowed to eat, drink, read or sleep, found the punishment funny at first. But then the boredom set in.

"At about 20 minutes into it, I was trying not to fall a sleep," offender Luis Cano said.

Judge Paul Sacco, who carries out the punishment about four times per year,  said the sentenced fit the crime.

"When you have a person playing rap at extreme volumes all over the city, and they have to sit down and listen for an hour to Barry Manilow, its horrible punishment," he said.

Judge Sacco said his love for music and helping youth inspired the unusual sentence.

"It's a punishment but it doesn't hurt as bad as jail or (paying) a lot of money," he said.

Not my lyrics:
http://corner.nationalreview.com/post/?q=NTkxNzU5NWEzNGE4YmI2ZjBmZmM4MzcxNDZmOTEyMTY=

His name was Barry
He was a showboy
But that was thirty years ago
When he used to do the show
Now it's a talkshow
But not for Barry
Still in the suit he used to wear
Faded gel streaks in his hair
He won't return their call
No matter how they crawl
He lost his slot
And he lost his marbles
But he's found Ron Paul

He can't cope-a
Cope-a with Hassel
The toughest chick west of Newcastle
Not like Rosie
Rosie O'Donnell
Barry knows she'll melt
When he brings up steel melt
He can't cope-a
He lost his slot...

There are several signers I never understood the popularity of.  One is Barry Manilow.  Another is Niel Diamond.  I just don't get it.

I've never understood the popularity of signers, either.  I mean, anybody could sign the Declaration of Independence.  Big deal!

But Republicans wouldn't lose any votes at all if they supported "gay rights."    rolleyes
