A cheeseburger with a fried egg is fantastic.

Not so sure about adding cucumber and cabbage though.

Chris

There is a Brazilian themed restaurant and bar here in Ames, IA that serves a cheeseburger with a fried egg on it. It has 1/2 # beef burger, Muenster cheese, egg, bacon, hot peppers, mayo, tomato, lettuce, onions and paprika. Freaking awesome!

Brazilian food is awesome. I get Brazilian from a local place called Sabor Brasil on the way home now and again, it's really, really good stuff.

Not sure what that cornmeal thing (farofa) is, but it's tasty, and there's a wonderful cucumber salad with a vinegar dressing. Something they do with sauteed collard greens is amazing too, as are the several sorts of beans, and garlic beef, prime rib slices slow-cooked with garlic cloves stuck in them on a rotisserie. Pao de Queijo is a cassava-based cheese bread that comes in little balls. And yummy plantains.

Also not sure what they do with coffee there, but if you eat there, it comes in a china cup and is like liquid silk, strong, flavorful, but so, so, so smooth and without any bitterness.

Hungry Jack's, the Australia version of Burger King, has a burger with beet on it. Not quite sure why.

That's how they like to do burgers in Australia-it's the australian ketchup.

burgers with fried egg is awesome.

Takes chicken livers, ground meat (to be traditional, mystery meat is the meat of choice), egg, bread crumbs, some herbs and cheese, and then stuff into either celery stalks or hollowed out zucchini topped with a bechamel  sauce and baked in the oven.  Better then it sounds, but much better minus the livers.

Yes, it's tasty.  Yes, it's good for you (aside from the horrific cholesterol).  Personally, I tend to avoid spleen if I can.

Not uncommon in Korea.  Brings back memories of Ms. Kim burgers by the front gate of Osan AB 10 minutes before curfew.

When I was younger, I enjoyed Tabasco sauce on my Macaroni & Cheese.
I spontaneously invented the Peanut Butter and Miracle Whip sandwich when I was 12, it's still delicious, just try it.
And my friend's mom severed me Pig Stomach and stewed tomatoes at their chinese restaraunt.  I was a polite kid, so I ate it all.  Stomach is about the consistency of a rubber band, except it's smooth on one side and rough on the other.  It wasn't terrible.

In the run up to GW1 one of my fellow LT's (from Tennessee) would eat: Potted Meat Food Product or canned Beef Tripe during our nightly poker games.

I think he did it just to try to psych us out and make us lose.

Well, the food may not be weird, but liking them makes you weird. Tongue

We bought a can of those a while ago. I think each member of my family ate one, and then the can sat in the pantry until we finally threw it out a month later.

We didn't like that particular flavor. I like Pringles (the brand), but hated the pickle flavor.
