If they are doing Those in 45LC, are they also making them in .357mag?

I thought they did but when I rechecked their website it does not list it. They do offer it in .38 Spl, .44/40, and .44 Russian.

Huh. According to their website, they weigh less than I thought, and cost a great deal more.

I'm not so sure a break-top revolver can stand a whole lot of .357 Magnum pressures.

What's the deal with the trigger spur on the Russian version?

Nice looking pistol. .45 Colt is something I keep a lot of on hand. If you get closer to home and need some ammo, you know where I am.

You changed his name. Now his brothers name doesn't make any sense. We need to fix that.

I was looking for the reason for that trigger spur, (short answer, popular in Europe, Russia wanted it and S&W figured since they were buying thousands of them it was worth adding it on) and ran across this example of a cocking trigger spur on a Tranter revolver.  It was actually a second trigger lever that cocked the hammer.  Here is a photo for you history buffs:

I had no idea they made anything but repros.  ???

That is one sweet-looking hog-leg, SK. It's even got the oh-so-handy "short" 5-inch barrel. Guess it probably still weighs more than two Glock 19s.

Those are classy guns, I give you that.

I've always been drawn to the '75 Remington .44 New Army, and to a lesser extent the '58 in percussion cap variety.  Its prominence in Hell on Wheels is reminding me of my original attraction to it from one of the Eastwood classics, I think it was Pale Rider.

After action report.

I only have one regret, that I wasn't stock piling up on ammo for the eventual day that it came in! :'( When I went to the range only had the 20 round box of Hornady and the 50 round box of American Eagle. After shooting that up there was no way I could stop there so I bought the 50 round box of Remington and proceeded to shoot that all up. Now I have no more ammo. :'(
I'm definitely going to be shooting this a lot!

Do you reload, Freak?

I have about 200 pieces of assorted .45colt that I happened into several years ago, along with .45colt RCBS dies.  If you're interested in pursuing the skill, let me know.  I'll let it go to an APSer for a very good price.  I don't foresee myself getting into .45colt since I'm pretty well set into .44magnum.  If I go larger, it'd be to the .480 or .475 territory.

I don't reload yet, but I have been saving as much brass as I can grab with my grubby little fingers when I go to the range.
That's one nice thing about shooting a revolver, makes keeping a hold of your brass a LOT easier.

Over half a year is a heck of a waiting period!

I have seen a few of those, but have never got to shoot one.  Does it eject everything, or do the unspent rounds stay in the cylinder?
