HURON, S.D. (AP) Police killed a teenager who they said used a sword to kill his mother and injure three other people, including an officer...

Yes, there's the obvious addendum to the "WHY COPS SHOOT GUYS WITH KNIVES" thread. And there's the "how sad and tragic" feeling...

But it still reminds me of the "boots of escaping" episode of Reno 911.

Wow.

It's hard for me to believe stuff like this actually happens.

Using a sword strikes me as being more deliberate that just using a knife. Not a nice thing to happen, either way.

An OBVIOUS case of police brutality.

The punk must have played a bit too much Alliance in World of Warcraft. You'll see, the surviving sister will sue Blizzard for turning her nice dear brother into a homicidal maniac. Or, Bethesda for "Oblivion". Then, she'll sue the police for shooting him dead instead of pepper-spraying him. Clearly, a tragedy caused by "those brutal realistic evil games" and "criminal negligence in law enforcers' lack of swordskill". Sword-ban legislation proposed on the evening news, next.

I wanted to sue Bethesda for Oblivion for being such a damned boring game.

Sounds to me like the cops are graduates of the Indiana Jones School of Swordsmanship.

I tried, good lord I tried, to get into it, but I never could. Even the fight scenes were... boring.

I'm trading it in tomorrow evening and getting Marvel Ultimate Alliance.

  • I'm sorry, Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that.
