Dr. John Brignell, a British engineering professor, runs a website called numberwatch. He has compiled what has to be the most complete collection of links to media stories ascribing the cause of everything under the sun to global warming. He has already posted more than six-hundred links.

The site's stated mission is to expose all the "scares, scams, junk, panics and flummery cooked up by the media, politicians, bureaucrats and so-called scientists and others that try to confuse the public with wrong numbers" Professor Brignell's motto is "Working to Combat Math Hysteria."

This exercise is not merely a lark to show the abject absurdity of this global warming nonsense. Brignell wrote a great book titled Sorry Wrong Number, The Abuse of Measurement on this very subject.

Dr. Brignell is accepting additions to the list so if you have any send them along.

Funny, on my "My Yahoo" page I have a "Science News" section, and I've been noticing over the last half year that practically every story has a global warming component to it. So much so, that I'm finding myself simply ignoring stories that I would otherwise read because the overindulgence to global warming immediately taints the neutrality of subjects that should really have nothing to do with global warming.

Brignell is affiliated with the Science and Public Policy Institute, which is funded partially by Exxon, and the Institute is part of the also-Exxon-funded "Frontiers of Freedom" group.

Checking the Weather Channel we're looking at Snowmeggdon again....

Well, I've shoveled another 4" of "Global Warming" off my driveway and they're predicting another 4-8" by morning. Al Gore, please save me !! rolleyes

Umm, scout, current weather conditions are totally irrelevant to the global warming issue. You also added an enormous amount of scroll to this thread with that satellite image.

EVERYONE knows that global warming actually means that we'll cease having weather variations at all and the entire planet will become one uniformly warm ball.

The National Weather Service can be replaced by the Global Weather Service, which will have a really easy job doing the weather reports...

Tell you what. I got $20 that says that in 10 years Man-Made Global Warming will be as debunked as the Late '70's/early 80's "We're all gonna Freeze to Death in the soon to happen Ice Age" (and be all out of Oil/Fossil Fuels by 2000).

I'll make the same bet with anyone else that believes that the current climate cycle is caused by humans.
