Does Oingo Boingo count?
Well, they played their way into obscurity. I saw them in some kinda "obscure" club in Riverside, Ca (circa 1981) so I would classify them as obscure. =D
Wasn't crazy about the music, but it was a great party!
Personally, I do not understand how a bunch of people demanding a bigger govt can call themselves anarchist.
I meet lots of folks like this, claim to be anarchist but really they're just liberals with pierced genitals. - gunsmith

Oingo-Boingo was *awesome* - both musically and in-concert.

So there.

Danny Elfman (Oingo Boingo frontman) is probably the most prolific screen music writer of the last 20 years. Everything from Batman to the Simpsons theme song. The guy is a TRUE musical genius! Check credits sometime...he is truly amazing!

Speaking of obscure, my singer friend says to me, "I just auditioned for a Disco band and I got it!" I said, "Disco band? I didn't even know there were any disco bands around anymore."
