These kinds of devices have always interested me. A device that generates a strong enough radio pulse to induce currents in nearby objects enough to damage or at least confuse IC's. I've looked around on the net over the last few years every now and then, but usually only come up with half brained ideas involving a magtron to generate microwaves.
I was wondering if anyone here had more knowledge of these devices, and how they work. Have there ever been successful implementations of this technology? If so, how is it done? I'm not really interested in the explosive units, more the purely electric based ones. Any good book recommendations? Comments?
