Probably THR material
« on: May 24, 2006, 01:43:03 PM »
Didn't feel like posting it there though, you guys know better than to make assumptions about my motives for posting it, a friend sent it to me and nothing more. Did a search for it on THR and didn't find it so here goes:

What, you don't want four pages about how this affects the RKBA movement, and whether the neighbor is a knucklehead, and how he is probably an idiot who should never touch a gun again, and how I would have beat the snot out of him, etc.?

See, it only takes one knucklehead to ruin it for everybody. Who wants to bet he was practice drawing in front of the mirror? Glad your friend is ok. Someone should beat the snot out of that guy. shocked

Wonder what type of ammo it was.

Makes you realize how serious overpenetration issues are in an apartment.

Save your money for a down payment on a house. All that hardware and living in an apartment.

I bought a house with only two grand out of pocket twelve years ago.

Somehow I think a bright guy like you will eventually have his own armory.

See?  There is such a thing as someone having too many guns!

In that guy's case, one.

I'm trying to figure that blanket assumption out.  At last count, my gun collection was just over 100 pieces (see frequent pics on TFL and THR), and I'm in the process of bidding on a 3 acre home in the countryside, assuming I don't buy a 23 acre apple orchard elsewhere.  What's mentally defective about that?

I questioned the neighbor thing too until I saw the drywall all over the guy's shirt.  Sure, he could have faked it, but why go that far?

The vest in front of the hole made me LOL, though.

As much as he knows about the guys guns, from the t-shirt and the vest, I'm guessing those guys are more than just neighbors, but also are soldiers assigned to the same base, living in off-base apartments.

How embarassing.

But that must be a low mirror or a high desk for it to come through like that.

I don't know the person, or anything about the case, I just got sent the link by a friend who likes to gently mock me for some the stuff I'll say about gun ownership without him being particularly anti-gun himself. I think Stand_Watie is right about the living arrangements, there are a couple of references to him being military in the thread, but I can vouch nothing for the authenticity of any of this.

Who was it that said, "There's nothing more exhilarating than being shot at and missed."

If I was him I'd have the vest ON!
