Project Safe are They old news?

IDK maybe this is old news but I just seen this commercial on tbs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fIMCIgjbASU first time too never even heard of these guys. Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN) some thing about this just makes my stomach turn. What say you fellow APSers.
