Why does anyone care what she says? She wasn't President. She had no official, Constitutional role whatsoever.

The Michelle will run for something soon.
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.

I guess she's got about as much experience as 0. had at the beginning of his arc to greatness.

Did you use the zero there on purpose?

Political insiders I know are drooling at the thought of candidate Michelle Obama running for Senate.  As a starting point.  They laud her tremendous experience, her intelligence, and (probably most important to them) her incredible name recognition to gain votes.

I'm not doubting your statement, I'm not even surprised by it. I am going to refute the insiders, though.

Let's look at her experience: She had a job at a hospital that was so important, the hospital left it unfilled when she left, where she worked hard to make sure the "charity" patients were dumped on other hospitals and then she was the wife of a president. Am I missing some "experience" here?

Her intelligence: ... Ok, I've got absolutely no evidence one way or the other. Or is this a "she's black, so of course she's smart" statement?

Name recognition: Hey! They finally got one right.

Now allow me to reiterate a point I made last campaign: Electing the wife of a previous leader is banana republic-type actions.
I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.

So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world, Frodo, besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring. In which case, you also were meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought

She wants an elected position with lots of subsidized travel. She has discovered that paying her own expenses is a bitch.

So basically she's going to go the same road that Hilary went down?

Does this also mean she's going to get spanked multiple times when she finally gets to run for POTUS?

because I'm almost ok with that...

Michelle Obama: People 'Don't Trust Politics' Because Republican Party Is 'All Men, All White'
Hey, have you looked at the leadership of the Democrat party lately?  I don't see a lot of color over there that makes it any different.  (IMO, the race baiters are not in the leadership.)

On the other side of that, I haven't seen any evidence that putting more women or more minorities in the leadership changes anything.
