I think they changed something in the Mandela matrix. I could have sworn that most rifles and pistols came with a double-stage trigger. There’s a certain amount of take-up (the first stage), then the trigger gets heavy and breaks (the second stage). But a very precise trigger has one stage of light, consistent trigger pull. That’s what you would want on a target rifle, or something for long-range hunting. I thought was what I’ve always read or heard about triggers.
But in shopping for an AR-15 trigger, I find that the bog standard trigger is described as single-stage, and everyone wants the $300 double-stage triggers, with a pull weight of .0005 ounces.
plz halp
I think I’m going to go with one of the cleaned-up, polished-up mil-spec triggers from ALG.
