If it is cool enough, I'll wear my traditionally-styled biker jacket and Redwing work boots.  I'll be "biker dad escorting his kids."

Teenage daughter is going out with her friends then to her High School football after so pick her up around 11pm.

Son is going over to a friends house with a bunch of other kids from school and the friends mom is going to escort them around their neighborhood he'll need to be picked up around 8pm.

That leaves Me and Mrs Scout home alone.  And she bought Play-Doh to hand out to trick-or- treaters.

I think we may just turn off the light and go hide under the covers instead........ =D
Some days even my lucky rocketship underpants won't help.

Bring me my Broadsword and a clear understanding.
Get up to the roundhouse on the cliff-top standing.
Take women and children and bed them down.
Bless with a hard heart those that stand with me.
Bless the women and children who firm our hands.
Put our backs to the north wind.
Hold fast by the river.
Sweet memories to drive us on,
for the motherland.

Next year I'm going to go as Richard Simmons.

Shopping list:

Short shorts,

tank top,

hair dye and perm or wig,

and...

one bucket 'o glitter.

This year I'm the guy who stays home because he thinks the bastids that burgled him a few weeks ago will think H'ween will be the perfect cover to have another go.

Only three groups of trick-or-treaters have made it to the door tonight.  I guess the motion activated flame throwers and machine guns need fine tuning...... :O

The teenagers who'll be coming by in t-shirts and jeans with pillowcases?  Well, they're going to be disappointed.

Around here, we call those "burglars".....and treat them accordingly...  :police:
Impressed yet befogged, they grasped at his vivid leading phrases, seeing only their surface meaning, and missing the deeper current of his thought.

A few years ago, a fellow I know went as a bricklayer.  His wife went as a brick.

That's a favorite.  My parents did that one back in the 70's when I was in high school.
If there really was intelligent life on other planets, we'd be sending them foreign aid.

Conservatives see George Orwell's "1984" as a cautionary tale.  Progressives view it as a "how to" manual.

My wife often says to me, "You are evil and must be destroyed." She may be right.

Liberals believe one should never let reason, logic and facts get in the way of a good emotional argument.
