Cup 'O' Joe!
« on: June 01, 2011, 07:52:28 PM »
What's in your cup? Right now I'm sipping a cup of Tanzanian Peaberry, made in my press. Pretty good stuff I bought from Really Great Coffeeâ„¢ on eBay.

Folgers  ???
I needed a mod to change my signature because the concept of "family friendly" eludes me.
Just noticed that a mod changed my signature. How long ago was that?

I buy the big cans of "Beaumont" ground coffee at Aldi for $5.  It's actually pretty good; tastes like Arabica, mostly.  On weekends I grind a little Sumatra dark roast from Trader Joe's and mix with it.

I just got done with my last service call.

Right now I'm sipping on my usual, and it's not coffee.

Yeah, we just got back from a neighbor, where I was drinking her scotch.

Luzianne sweet tea (iced, of course).

I vastly prefer the taste to coffee and I drink about 1/2-3/4 gal every day. Plus you can't beat that $3.50 gets you a box that'll make 12 gallons.

Whatever my coworker brought in tonight.  It's not bad, but I need to start bringing my French press with me.  That and some Turkish coffee.

Nobody rocks the socks like Tazo Now.

What's the ABV of MGD 64?  I always figured it traded calories for alcohol.  If so, wouldn't you just have to drink more of it?

Coffee from Aldi.  It's called "Donut Shop Blend" and comes in a bag with prominent Dunkin' Donuts colors.

For $4.50/lb ground, it passes the wife test and keeps her off of the Tim Hortons lattes

Free maxwell house coffee at work.

Surprisingly good when brewed in a decent machine (commercial Bunn).

I have discovered that Bunn makes the One True Coffee Machine.  =)

Black Folgers in the office. Need a new vessel as the plaque of coffee oil is messing with the flavor.

Various local blends (Addison Coffee Roasters) with cream and sugar optional at home on weekends.

Right now, "8 o' Clock Coffee". Need to buy some more green coffee to roast, though. This stuff is pretty good for store bought, but I miss my fresh roasted.

Chris

I miss an old coworker who always brought in a small thermos of that everyday he was in the office. When he needed my help he brought in his big thermos to give me a cup of two when I fixed his IT problems.

Folgers at home.

Some sort of nasty, acidic stuff in the office. There's Dunkin's packages in the breakroom, but by the time it makes it through the coffee machines it's pretty much ruined.

What is it about chicory in their coffee that people like?

At home the morning brew is Costa Rican or Nicaraguan from Coffee Heaven in Cave Junction or Siuslaw Roasters in Florence.  The evening coffee is generally Ethiopian or, when I can get it, Yemeni Moka.

The road coffee is generally French roast or dark roast from 7-Eleven or truck stops.  More commonsewership than connoisseurship, it is "monkey chow" (addiction maintenance.)
Gee, I'd love to see your data!

I buy 8 O'Clock whole bean coffee when it's on sale and stock up. Right now I'm working my way through some French Roast.
