You do as soon as you join AARP. You're eligible ...

Unfortunately, the AARP practices shameless anti-Second Amendment bigotry.

Fortunately, here's a trick that works nine times out of ten. The motel clerk asks, "AARP?" to which I reply, "I know I probably look like I'm only 32, but I've been a senior citizen for years." Given I haven't looked like 32 since I was about 40, my reply usually gets a laugh and the AARP discount.

Or... if they're busy, just fumble around looking for your reading glasses and membership card.  Most young folks will get impatient and just give you the discount.  It's not like they give a crap about it anyway.

I wonder how age and post count would correlate?

48 for a while yet...

Another one that couldn't imagine making it to this advanced age, despite my best efforts!

I'm 30. Whew, just barely made that second, odd grouping you have.

At my age, I am old enough to know how young I am and really appreciate the experience of those older than I.

I knew it at 25, but as I get more experience, I realize how much more I have to learn...
I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.

So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world, Frodo, besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring. In which case, you also were meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought

50-something going on 30-something.

I always said if I made it to 50,
the rest is icing: schweet.

I'm an older hard core aerobic dancer.
Music: deep house, techno & cliqhop.
(Th' 60's? Been there. <yawn> Got past it.)

I may be older, but I'll never be old.

Nose hair? Sure. We're all primates.

Nemo,  Sigh.....gotta PM fer ya over at THR.org.  Probably longer than your post.

For the record.  My comments were not directed in Nemo's way at all.  We've talked about this before.  He in no way resembles those I object to with respect to climate change/global warming.  I have a great deal of respect for his knowledge about this subject.  I might not always understand why he concludes as he does.  That's because he studies what he talks about.

My disagreement is with those who's motives are about control and the taking away of freedom under the auspices of science.  Those folks conclusions are worthy of skepticism.  The arrogance of their brushing off any opposition or willingness to consider conclusions other than their own, exposes them and their fraud imho.

Well, I now see how this board is divided.....you have the young ones who post here....and then you have the old folks chaperoning the young 'uns from naughty behavior.....

....and I'm right on the fence. Guess I'd better start learning how to chaperone....  =D

and then you have the old folks

The correct word is "older".
