Even if this scheme would work, why do people think it is OK to take money from one person and give it to another?
Plus the whole "Robin Hood" name is bothersome. If I recall the legend correctly, Robin Hood basically gave a "tax refund" to citizens who were unfairly and outrageously taxed by their government. The "Robin Hood tax" should be a movement against the US government for high taxes, versus a movement to tax citizens, if the movement was going to use the original theme.Indeed. But bothering to take details into account is far to troublesome. We've got an agenda here man!

Some folks really just have no concept of reality. I wonder what that's like, to live in a little fantasy world of your own creation?
....and why does anyone think the gov't will spend the money better than the people who earned it?....

No nation has ever taxed itself into prosperity.
...No *expletive deleted*, Sherlock. But the objective is not to tax the nation into prosperity, the objective is to completely break the economy so communism can be implemented and the US can become just like the USSR. Because after all, the only reason Communism hasn't worked is that the "right people" haven't been in charge.

When I want more money to get more stuff, I don't get jealous and want someone else's money, I goram find a way to make it myself.
That's just wrong thinking there, birdman....we have to get you re-educated into the proper Progressive mindset.... :police:
It's pretty cool actually. I'm going hot air ballooning over Zambia this afternoon, then having a sunset cocktail (huh uh - he said cocktail Beavis) from my rocking chair on Olympus Mons.
IMO, there are two characterics to these liberals to remember:
1. They have convinced themselves that rich people get rich by taking/cheating money from good hard working poor or lower middle class people. The got rich by screwing the little guy. Or they inherited their wealth.
is it just me, or did one of these savants really say. the way to stop .gov from robbing people, was a new tax? [tinfoil]
Nothing wrong with "urban farming", there's a bunch of urban land that could be better used growing food. I'd much rather see a big community garden than a municipal golf course. We just don't need the fed.gov involved.

Last I checked, J.P. Morgan and Morgan Stanley were two separate companies.
