my phone is smarter than me

has a better memory too
do i need a big micro sdhc card?  or will a small one work for a guy who doesn't use most of the bells and whistles?  4? 8? 16? 32?  
It is much more powerful to seek Truth for one's self.  Seeing and hearing that others seem to have found it can be a motivation.  With me, I was drawn because of much error and bad judgment on my part. Confronting one's own errors and bad judgment is a very life altering situation.  Confronting the errors and bad judgment of others is usually hypocrisy.

Memory's cheap.

8GB is probably more then you'l use, but it's pretty inexpensive (less then $20) and a good choice.  Better to have plenty of room then not enough.

its a samsung flight. can do more than i can. i might check email  look up some work related stuff and track my kid.  maybe use the gps and weather

The memory card is only going to be used for storing photos and videos, and for transporting such to your computer

It's easy to underestimate the amount of memory you'll need. Here's another vote for an 8.

thanks for the help  i hate buying one thing then having to go and buy another i equally hate overkill so you guys were a big help

Get a fast Micro SDHC card, too.  Class 4 or better.
