There have been a number of people arrested after flashing their CCW badges.

I won't carry a CCW badge, and I won't open carry.

I might open-carry - even in NoVA - but see no point nor good in a CCW badge.

There are details in that blog post that I hadn't seen before, about this incident.

Shooter's an idiot, get him out of here.   I can't fathom the "enforcer wannabe" mindset, that wants a badge and throws himself, gun drawn, into what was fairly innocuous.

I hop this gets made into an instructive bad example, for CCW instruction everywhere.

Open Carry/CHP badges should be stamped "ID-10-T!" in big red letters. You have to be an utter moron to have/carry one. The companies that sell them should report to CHP issuers so they can go and repossess the bozo's CHP as they are mentally incompetent to possess one!
