Your final geek rating is:
88%
Smartypants! Why are you mucking about with stupid personality quizzes instead of solving the world’s energy problems and genetically engineering flies that can find their way around windows?
How can this be? I am the cave-painting boy for Ludditism.
stay safe.
-
I only rated 83%. You out-geeked me.
-
A "3" floppy" is obviously incorrect.

Well obviously I'm a different sort of geeky because when I saw "Ajax", I immediately thought of the Iliad.
-
83 as well

Hmm, I am only 83%, too.

That too.
-
97%.
I think I got the floppy question half wrong. Amstrad CPC was before my time.
-
I'm not a geek. Duh...
43%. Weird thing is the discripter implied I was good with phone apps but couldn't manage Windows Word help section.
I can do Windows Word and I know how to ax the damn paperclip pop up help thingy, but I almost never put new apps on my phone.

Gotta say this quiz was slanted towards computer geeks more than other types (SciFi, Comics, etc.). Computers are a tool for me, not my thing.
-
I write software for a living, but I would rather be out riding my horse than taking quizzes on the computer :P

I see 2 extremely obscure 3" disks, that I have never heard of before this day.
Ever seen the 2.5" that Zenith put in their early '90s micro laptop?

Been in tech for decades, but not as a programmer.

Yup - this was a computer-geek quiz. I only got 87%.

Now I will go do some more "not geek" (you know.....manly) stuff. ;) =D [popcorn]

Well, at least BobR beat my 36% as worst (or best?) on the forum so far.

Surprised it was that high.

You’re just “meh” with technology. One minute smugly downloading a cool new smartphone app to show off, the next staring in despair at the Microsoft Word help system to write a simple letter.
Because I answered honestly. I know that 01000000 was probably supposed to be a binary number, but that wasn't the first thing to pop into my mind. And so on.

I owe a good bit of that to APS influence =D
This from the guy that has to wear gloves to keep his knuckles from getting scraped up when I walk around.

Just geek enough to get myself in trouble.

Sweet, I'm still in the lead with the lowest!!!! =D
Probably because I took less than a second to answer each one, just the first thing that popped into my mind.

Only managed a 27%...
First thing you think when you see "SI"
I think "yes." That wasn't an option.

That's what I thought at first, too. And I don't even live in California.

With a heavy heart, I must relinquish my crown, but the less geeky has claimed it.
BTW, SI is yes, I don't care what they think it means!
bob

68 percent. Test is too chiphead oriented. Nothing about phospholipid bilayers, shell filling order by electrons in the transition metals or sediment accretion rates on deep ocean plains.
-
59%. I need to spend more time with the Amish.
-

That was the first thing I thought, as well.
-
95% . . . oh well.
I don't know what I missed (possibly the Amstrad thing).
It doesn't seem like there are enough questions to achieve scores of both 95% and 97%, I wouldn't have thought the granularity was there.
Of course, there's always the possibility that the questions are weighted.
Had to guess at the soundtrack question -- I has no audio on this box.

Oooh, a workstation. Geek cred for you.

I had to answer what music to that one myself but I always cruise APS with the sound off. Have you listened to some of things you people link to?

Or for that matter, ancient near eastern treaty forms. More than one way to be a geek.
-
Damn. I'm not the fastest horse in the glue factory. I obeyed the letter of the instruction, picking the firstest thing I thunk, not trying to choose the nerdiest possibly correct answer. Fwiw, i took my first course in programming in 1972.

31. Can somebody come over and turn on my 'puter. My grandson went home.

Not to worry, Liz. I beat you in ungeekness.
