Quote
A Cambridge school resource officer is on administrative leave after police say his gun accidentally discharged inside a bathroom stall earlier this month.

Officer Frank Greenidge removed his gun and placed it on a bathroom stall hook by its trigger guard at the Cambridge Rindge and Latin School on Tuesday, April 2, Cambridge Police say. The firearm reportedly fired as it was removed from the book

The officer was not hurt and there were no other injuries.

One of the videos I listened to said the rule covered trading for anything of value.

I think they are just trying to force everything through FFL's while they also try to reduce the number of FFL's.  Backdoor "close the gun show loophole".  And one of my Senators helped pass the law that opened the door for this.

And create the comprehensive illegal gun registry loophole.

And create the comprehensive illegal gun registry loophole.

Something the "antis" and the ATF have been trying to do for decades.  They may have already done so but if true, they are violating certain "restrictions".  I would say "laws" but I'm not certain those restrictions actually are "law".  I also have no doubt that someone here can bring greater clarity to this.  =D

NSSF did a paper on the number of firearm magazines produced from 1990-2021: Approximately 960 million total, 718 million of them were over 10 round capacity.  Apparently they are in common use.

Am I missing something or is this just an invitation for people to do more horse trading when selling a gun?

Like MechAg said, the new rule explicitly covers horse-trading.  Honestly someone I didn't know offering something other than cash for a gun (especially at a gun show) would set off more red flags for me.  Either prohibited person/snitch or Fed looking to make a deal that will seem shady to a jury of normies.

Much safer for them to go after people selling their collection that Tyrone with 15 Glocks with switches and fun sticks in the trunk of his Impala.

I am sure they will argue they are all owned by a small number of gun owners.   =)

Yes, I think RevDisk has about half of them.

Just heard the SC granted cert to the 5th Circuit ghost gun case.  My work google account filters a lot of stuff so all I can do is post a link to John Crump's youtube channel.   I am sure it will be a while before the case is heard and a decision is issued.

The USSC taking this up is good. Here in Nevada we have a state law banning unfinished frames/receivers. The law was overturned by a lower court, ruled unconstitutional by the Appeals court and just the other day the law was upheld by the State Supreme Court. So as of now no 80% frame/receivers in Nevada. But that looks like it *could* be subject to change.

Twenty six states are suing the Biden admin over the new ATF dealer definitions, AKA the new backdoor universal background check rule.

From what I heard, it is a little more invasive and confusing than just "universal background checks".  It seemed like there were provisions that nearly make it illegal to ever sell a gun and it wasn't clear if selling through a dealer was okay.  Maybe I misread.

How can fed.gov determine a sale is made "primarily to earn a profit" - making the seller a dealer - unless they know how much was originally paid for the item?

The US LawShield youtube lawyers were recommending NOT keeping receipts and such for past gun purchases.

The problem with that is they'll ask my wife, and she'll tell them what I told her I paid for them.  That will show a lot of profit.
