OK, ronnyreagan, then how is this all Bush's fault? I know you didn't say that, but perhaps you could explain it to lone_gunman.

You're right I didn't say that, so why I would explain it?

There is no single law/corporation/person to blame for this mess.

Bush probably could have prevented it, but so could many other people. His inaction is no worse than that of many others who stood by and watched and not nearly as bad as those who participated. If I were to try to point my finger at one single entity (which I've already said isn't really fair) it certainly wouldn't be Bush, it would probably be the credit rating agencies.
You have to respect the president, whether you agree with him or not.
Obama, however, is not the president since a Kenyan cannot legally be the U.S. President ;/
