« on: December 04, 2019, 02:28:47 PM »
Why hasn't she been nominated for a Nobel prize yet?

I think she was.
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.

The saddest part is tha she was more deserving than Obama, at least she had done something.
Not that either one actually deserve it though.

Arafat and Obama got peace prizes. Any decent person winning should decline on those grounds.

Mandela, Gore, et alii.

Should "accept" it solely for the chance to burn it on stage in the middle of their circle jerk.

Well, there is the matter of getting the $103,000 "Alternative Nobel Prize" money.

I wonder how that was funded... by a philanthropist named Alternative?

Could be she's not liberal enough, the same thing that keeps her from getting an Oscar.

I actually feel a little bad for her.

Yeah, she's annoying, and socialist, but she was at least partly manipulated into those positions, and she's still a kid.  She's going to get the full force of nastyness that being internet famous gets you, and after the 20 or 30 minutes of fame wear off, she'll still need to live her life, with that speech, and magazine cover, following her around forever.  She will never again meet someone new that doesn't already have an opinion of her and an idea of how she should act.

and that kinda sucks.

Yup.  I agree she's incredibly annoying in so many ways, but I could say that about many teenagers who aren't in the public eye. Her parents (and some other adults) need the tarring and the feathering.

She has Asperger's.  Most folks with Aspergers are obsessed with some subject.  She is obsessed with the idea the climate change is going to destroy the world.

Shame on the jackasses that encourage her in this miserable delusion.

According to CNN she was chosen mainly to "aggrieve" Trump and they're loving it.

Quote
Thunberg was chosen among a group that included the Hong Kong protesters, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and President Donald Trump.

And it's the last name on that list who will be most aggrieved, not only because he was not chosen but also because Thunberg, well, was.

I don't, if she had the power, she would kill us. I don't doubt she could easily be brought to the role of personally shooting people in the back of the head. Same with AOC, cute to look at, painful to listen to, fun to laugh at, but put her in real power and see how it goes. They are true believers in their causes and lack empathy for us "others" because we are subhuman. Seen that movie before. They deserve every bit of derision that comes to them.

Time traveler or unholy eternal undead? Personally I'm thinking the latter.

She has/had an eating disorder.  Looks like it stunted her growth.
