Sometimes Trump Should Stick His Foot in His Mouth
« on: January 29, 2019, 09:57:32 AM »
Like this time. Or more precisely, keep his fingers off his phone. The comments make a good point. I would not have even heard of this book and author had Trump not tweeted it to be picked up by Twitchy. It would have been raved about by a few hundred TDS acolytes and then faded away.

Trump himself said the guy was a very low level gofer, so why make him more than he was?

Sounds like he wanted to help him out a little while at the same time saying it was all fabricated and untrue.   =D

Cue the Resident Trump-can-do-no-wrongers to try and convince us that there's some master chess move at work on this one...

As opposed to negative Nancy's who see anything he says as the worst thing any President has ever done.   =D

What I wonder about is why everyone takes each and every one of his tweets seriously?  I follow him on twitter.  He tweets about all sorts of stuff and I skip past most of it.

I'm one who thought Trump was a terrible choice for president.

Seeing the results he can get, I no longer just dismiss actions like this as him being thin skinned and petty.

It might very well be the case, or it might be that he's trying to accomplish something else (create drama/entertainment?)

I'm not a "Trump-can-do-no-wrong" but I'm one who has to take a step back and wonder if it isn't primarily an act. The fact that he doesn't just attack everyone who maligns him suggests he has a reason for it. It might be "He's just wildly inconsistent and attacks whoever gets his attention" or it may be that he chooses his targets purposely (or instinctively). (Has he ever attacked the Parkland kids? I can't recall, but if he has, it was only after holding off for a long time. Again, that's not fitting with "he attacks whoever attacks him indiscriminately.)

Given that he, more often then not, ends up looking better than whomever he engages with suggests some kind of selection process. I.e. there may be a method to his madness.
I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.

So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world, Frodo, besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring. In which case, you also were meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought

Trump does wrong.  Frequently.  But sometimes he does the right thing.

He's boorish, ill spoken, quick-tempered, doesn't consider before speaking, and happy to trade things I care about to accomplish things he cares about for a moment.

He's continues to be not Hillary.

I'm convinced he likes the negative attention. Tar baby act. And I think it works do disrupt the news cycle. See that coherent, palatable to likely voters strategy to reclaim government? Nope, they're busy screaming about Trump. I hope  that long after Trump is gone that the genie stays out of the bottle as far as people seeing how fake the news really is.

LOL.  What everybody above said.   At this point in time looking at 2020: if Trump runs for re-election VS any of the Clowns who have either come out or are being encouraged to come out as Ds or independents, I have to vote for Trump.  There is no choice due to the fact of how insane the D party has gone.   Anyone who votes for a 3rd or 4th party or stays home is a danger to the Republic in my view.  All the blabber about "I have the right to vote for whomever I choose because of my rights or conscience" or whatever other excuse does not change the dynamic that the Democrat Socialists/Marxists are aided and abetted by that philosophy.

There is a rift in the D party. I'm hoping it's big enough to get a left wing 3rd party on the ballot and split their vote.

MAGA!

Even for “libertarian” union government employees.
For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting power and divinity, that they may be without excuse. Because knowing God, they didn’t glorify him as God, and didn’t give thanks, but became vain in their reasoning, and their senseless heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.
