Am I the only one who thinks it is crazy to spend $25 or $30k on a truck? I'm assuming you aren't even going to own it...the bank is going to own it, right?
Why not just buy a really nice 2005 truck for like $15-18k?
Also, my vote is for the Toyato and get a new dealer.

Many Toyo dealers are like this, the smug is strong with them.
Do not buy any Toyo Truck with a six speed manual transmission (it's a long story). Part of Toyo's problem has been refusing to admit defects, along with the smug attitude.
I would check the cost of insurance as well, Toyo parts have historically been pricey, making repairs that much more expensive. You would be surprised how much it costs to insure some of toyo's and even scions.
The OP made the correct choice IMO, and this comes from someone who has a nostalgia for Toyota trucks due to my childhood.
