Reading the first two paragraphs where they refer to him as both "he/him" and "she/her" is headache inducing. But also an excellent example of how this is all theater. If you get to switch from one to the other from one day to the next, there is zero biology involved. It's all twisted culture.

New York's iconic St Patrick's Cathedral has claimed it was duped into holding a 'scandalous' funeral service for a transgender activist celebrated in the mass as 'the great whore.'

The Catholic cathedral, which bills itself as 'America's parish church,' has been ordered to hold a 'mass of reparation' after hundreds of scantily-clad admirers danced in the aisles for former sex worker Cecilia Gentili.

The self-proclaimed atheist died at 52 on February 6, and organizers have admitted they kept her identity 'kind of under wraps' when booking the mass with cathedral authorities.

Now the cathedral's pastor has issued a groveling apology to his parishioners, thanking the 'many who have let us know they share our outrage.'

'The Cathedral only knew that family and friends were requesting a funeral Mass for a Catholic, and had no idea our welcome and prayer would be degraded in such a sacrilegious and deceptive way,' Father Enrique Salvo said in a statement.

While there are a lot of words in the story, it's lacking info for me. Are people blaming the church? It sounds like they were legitimately tricked. I guess from part of the story, they could have ended the service, but it's New York. Quite likely if they called the cops it would be the priests that went to the pokey.

Of course our current Pope probably thought this was just grand.

But, in 2021, Indiana officials began investigating the Coxes after a report found they were not referring to their child by his preferred gender identity, removing the teen from their custody and placing him in a "gender-affirming" home. Despite the unsubstantiated claims of abuse, they claimed the Coxes made the child's eating disorder worse even though it worsened after he was removed and placed in a transition-affirming home.

I read that this morning, and was surprised that it was Indiana. Maybe more of my apparent lack of knowledge with what's going on with states between the Eastern seaboard and the Rockies, but Indiana would have been one of the last states where I would expect this. It would also allow minors to consent to “gender-affirming care” and shield gender clinicians from liability if they failed “to obtain valid consent” from the minor but provided they “relied in good faith on the representations made by the minor.”

    Ironically, the law also defines “abused child” as a child whose parent “allows to be inflicted upon such child physical injury, by other than accidental means, which causes death, disfigurement, impairment of physical or emotional health, or loss or impairment of any bodily function.”

    HB 4876 lumps in “gender-affirming” interventions with abortion, probably to make it politically difficult for Democrats to oppose the bill.
