Income taxes in DC, property taxes on the leased home in Chicago, IIRC.

I don't know about down here in AL, but in Milwaukee every city employee must be a resident of the city. Not another city, or even a suburb. A resident of the city. That goes for the mayor, the city council, fire, police, sanitation, teachers, everybody.

I don't find it odd that Chicago would require a mayoral candidate to have actually lived in the city for a year before running. I find it odd that Emmanuel would take more than a day to bribe someone to get on the ballot.

Where did he pay taxes?

You don't actually imagine he paid taxes do you?
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.

Nowhere....not paying taxes is a requirement to serve in the Obama Administration....

Wouldn't the income taxes indicate he was a resident of DC?  The property taxes are just paid by the owner wherever they.  If he didn't pay Illinois/Chicago income taxes, wouldn't that indicate he would not a resident?

I am in agreement with MechAg84 about this.  If you have multiple properties across the US, then you pay property taxes on them, but you only pay one income tax and that is usually to the place that you are a resident of, unless there is not a income tax levied in that state.
