Well, I voted to defeat harry reid...
« on: October 23, 2010, 09:55:29 PM »
We did our duty for America and voted to replace harry reid.  It's easier to make a choice on some candidates when you get a flier with endorsements from people you oppose.  Someone running for district court judge sent me a flier with endorsements from liberals and rinos.  His opponent received my vote.

The wife, the kid and I will all be joining you next Tuesday.  We like to go on the actual election day.  The wife likes to wear her NRA hat when she votes.  I'll be wearing my Glock tshirt.  The kid will likely just be discussing either Ayn Rand or PJTV with me as we stand in line.  He's not very quiet.

But we'll be respectful.  Yes, we'll be very respectful as we send Harry back to Searchlight.   =D

What are they saying about voter turnout over there?  I keep seeing polls that say Republicans are more energized, but I'm not sure they know what that means this time around so I am curious how accurate the polling really is.

I haven't really seen much about turnout, I've been more into "discussing" Sharon Angle with people who are believing too much of the Reid lies.  People who, theoreticallly, should be voting for Angle but are hesitant because they're afraid of losing one entitlement or another.  They talk a good game until it's their ox that is threatened with goring.
I swear, one minute they're crying about how they're tired of the professional politicians with their slick ways, then they're crying because Angle isn't explaining things smoothly.

I am temporarily in NV for training. What kind of training? NAAAAVVVVY TRAINING SIR! but I digress....

I have no idea what to think because the ads from both sides are about 25 per hour and pretty nasty. A lot of the Harry ones are paid for by SEIU. Angle doesn't really seem like much to vote for, but a safe place to stick a vote against Harry. Wonder what slimy job he will take if he loses? MSNBC anchor?

My ship WAS a target for torpedo runs when I was in service. After they quit firing them at us, we had to find them and hoist them on deck and stack them for the trip back to base. That was strange. Yer out in the middle of nowhere with nothing around but open sea then ya see a wake headed your way just before the "fish" goes under the keel or hits the side of the engine-room.
I might not last very long or be very effective but I'll be a real pain in the ass for a minute!

I heard rumors on the radio that some voters in Vegas had their electronic voting machines pre-selecting Reid on their ballot.

Are you training a NAS Fallon?

Dad was stationed there for 4 years with the Air Force. I have fond memories of Fallon and the area. We used to camp at Lahonton and Silver Springs quite a bit.

Over the ridge to the south of Fallon on Highway 50 is a joint in the middle of nowhere with a "Girls" sign on the front. Looks like a topless joint. I rode past it many times on my cycle, couldn't figure out what it was about, and finally asked about it at a store about 60 miles east. They said it was a bordello.

Can you  confirm? ;)

There are a lot of ranches scattered around Nevada.  You find a Military base and there is bound to be a ranch near by.  I think that one is on highway 50 by Yerington, that is by the Army ammo dump.

It is much more powerful to seek Truth for one's self.  Seeing and hearing that others seem to have found it can be a motivation.  With me, I was drawn because of much error and bad judgment on my part. Confronting one's own errors and bad judgment is a very life altering situation.  Confronting the errors and bad judgment of others is usually hypocrisy.
