Government closing in on the internet
« on: February 18, 2013, 06:39:49 PM »
Here is a video addressing current events regarding government control of the internet (or its attempt to).

I'm concerned where this is going. While people are all caught up trying to save the Second Amendment, they forget that the very tool they are using to accomplish that is under attack. It's a scary thought to think that someday sites like APS, or the people who use it could be denied the ability to share what ever is deemed "dangerous and subversive" thoughts. No-fly lists?.. how about No-Connect lists?

The Founders never intended people to have high capacity communication devices.
Freedom is a heavy load, a great and strange burden for the spirit to undertake. It is not easy. It is not a gift given, but a choice made, and the choice may be a hard one. The road goes upward toward the light; but the laden traveller may never reach the end of it.  - Ursula Le Guin
